Raheme Bell has been making music his whole life, instead of taking to the streets he decided he wanted to be his own boss and open his own record label called Magnolia Records. After years of planning, he finally made his dream official and was able to bring his company to life after years of making mixtapes and selling them from the trunk of his car. A few bad decisions and his company were closed by the city and Raheem packed his bags and moved back to Florida, now he returned to the city and now looking to rebuild his company and learn from his past mistakes. His company offers opportunities to those who are looking to start a career in the entertainment business. Magnolia Records is a record company whose sole purpose is to sign artists, produce music, live concerts, performances, & sell music (Either digital downloads, CD's or even cassette tapes). The record company will provide studio space for other local artists to make music as well, magnolia records consist of the company CEO, a studio manager, and other staff members who will help promote the recording studio and engage with the community.  Raheme originally from Davis was raised by his aunt and uncle who later passed from cancer when he was a teenager. He was told little about his biological parents, so he mostly referred to his aunt and uncle as his own parents. ** Raheme** was always into watching music videos growing up as a kid, most kids would watch cartoons growing up but raheme was excited about watching and listening to music from various artists. As he got older, he experimented with making beats and even tried some instruments, none of those was really his passion so he picked up the microphone and started to write rhymes about growing up with his aunt and uncle. That turned into him talking about growing up in a rough neighborhood, then from there about selling drugs at an early age. COO Melissa Cole has been with Raheme for most of the time Magnolia has been in business, Melissa has and still is a key component to the business, she helps with more of the technical side of things within Magnolia, Melissa and Raheme have known each other for over four years. Raheme remembers the last conversation he has with his uncle which was "Opportunities come once in a lifetime, if you want something in life you have to go get it because no one will give you anything, you have to earn it". That was the last conversation he had with his uncle before he past, now he wants to make his passion become reality, staying off the streets and keeping his head into books about how to run a business for new business owners. It is about creating opportunities for those who want change, and this is a way he can give back to his community.
